Who we are:

Symbaloo.com is an online visual startpage which is the homepage for 10 million users globally and organizations such as the State of New York and the Australian Hunter TAFE. Our mission is to make internet navigation easier for everyone. Symbaloo users can create their own visual startpage, and share it with others. Many teachers found this very valuable, as they could easily share content with their students.

As our knowledge of the educational market grew, we noticed a lot of teachers struggled to use the internet to its fullest potential for teaching. To facilitate them, we’ve developed Symbaloo Lessonplans (2016), an open platform for building and publishing gaming-style courses using the best online content.

Just like how Symbaloo works, the best of the web can be gathered, and shared. Lessonplans will help education move away from books, towards the digital era with all of its advantages.

Symbaloo is a Dutch company and has two offices. One is in Delft, where the technical department and the European marketing team are based. Symbaloo’s CEO and the US marketing team are based in Costa Mesa, California.

What we are looking for:

Symbaloo values ease of use and good working technique. To provide the best service, users can send their questions to our support team. The team will try to solve any problem within 24 hours, or give the right hints that satisfy the users.

As a member of the support team you will be the contact person for the customer and are therefore the face of the company. Your goal is to solve the problem that users report to you, and to pro-actively communicate this to the technical team if the problem keeps repeating.

Next to the supporting activities there may be other projects needing your efforts, such as creating a theme page or helping with tests of new updates.

Do you have:

  • At least higher level of education (HBO)
  • Affinity with internet
  • Fluency in the Dutch language
  • Perseverance
  • Customer focus (empathy)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capabilities to work independently
